New Mexico provides several public record routes, but custody follows the office that created or maintains each file. The Santa Fe County Sheriff holds sheriff reports and warrant-related records. The Adult Detention Facility maintains booking and local custody data. Court clerks preserve filed charges and dispositions, while the New Mexico Department of Public Safety, Law Enforcement Records Bureau maintains the central identity-linked repository. The purpose of this resource is to sort those channels, explain their limits, and place verified contacts and request steps in context.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, not part of a New Mexico court, police department, sheriff’s office, or state agency. Those limits matter:
- We do not retrieve official records or perform official checks
- We cannot issue a certified court file, rap sheet, or agency report
- We do not submit IPRA requests or expungement papers for a reader
- We cannot interpret a charge, warrant, order, or case as legal advice
- We cannot promise that an agency’s hours, fees, or contact details will never change
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the sheriff, court clerk, detention facility, or New Mexico Department of Public Safety.
