Terms of Use

These conditions govern every visit, search, and use of the website. Using any part of it means accepting the terms below. Anyone who does not agree should stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website has no government affiliation. It and its advertising partners do not provide a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. The material concerns public record access in Santa Fe County, New Mexico. This is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no tie to a court, law-enforcement office, or other government body. It does not store official criminal records, perform official checks, retrieve files, or submit paperwork.

Its role is to identify Santa Fe County custodians, including the sheriff, detention facility, courts, New Mexico Department of Public Safety, and New Mexico Sex Offender Registry, and to link to outside tools that may assist research.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Users agree not to:

  • Use the service in violation of local, state, or federal law
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate another person with information found here
  • Apply the content to housing, hiring, lending, insurance, or another FCRA-regulated decision
  • Attempt unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Operate a bot, scraper, or other automated collection tool against the pages
  • Interfere with site speed, availability, or another visitor’s access

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this website or a linked tool must not be used to stalk, harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate. Misuse may also violate criminal law. New Mexico Sex Offender Registry data is meant for lawful public-safety awareness. It cannot be used for vigilantism or unlawful discrimination against a listed person.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This website is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. The same limitation applies to how users may treat information from this website or a linked tool. It must not be used to:

  • Make a hiring or termination decision
  • Evaluate a rental or housing applicant
  • Set insurance terms or judge creditworthiness
  • Determine eligibility for a regulated license, permit, or public program
  • Support any other purpose governed by the FCRA

A legally regulated check must be obtained through an authorized official process or a compliant consumer reporting provider.

5. No Legal Advice

General descriptions of Santa Fe County records are not legal advice. A licensed New Mexico attorney should address how a charge, conviction, warrant, or expungement rule applies to a specific situation.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are provided "as is." No promise is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Charges, dispositions, seals, and expungement orders can change a record. Gaps and delay are possible. Nothing here is an official statement by a sheriff, court, or government agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links lead to courts, law-enforcement offices, New Mexico agencies, legal resources, and outside search providers. Those destinations are independently controlled. We are not responsible for their availability, prices, privacy practices, terms, or content.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Santa Fe County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, modifying, distributing, or creating derivative material requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the broadest extent allowed by law, we disclaim liability for loss arising from use of the website or reliance on information supplied here or by a linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, and proceedings caused by that user’s conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal costs.

11. Governing Law

New Mexico law governs these terms. Any proceeding tied to use of the website must be brought in an appropriate court located in New Mexico.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A revision becomes effective when the updated language is posted here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be restricted or terminated at any time, with or without prior notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term is narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
